Walter Herbert Dunn, age 82, of Enfield, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2015. He was the son of the late Mason and Ella Louisa Dunn.

Walter grew up in Enfield, NC and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He retired from Sears and Roebuck with 35 years, 4 months, and 19 days.

He is survived by his daughters, Bobbie Brown and her husband, Ernest of Enfield, Clara Reagan and her husband, Richard of Roanoke Rapids, Rene Bedell and her husband, Richard of Ocala, FL, Nita Monahan and her husband, Don of Sunrise, FL, Cathy Barnett of Fort Myers, FL; his son, Mason Dunn of High Springs, FL; his brother, Robert Dunn of Enfield; thirteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be on Monday, October 12, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Whitakers Chapel Church, 5356 Thirteen Bridges Road, Enfield, NC. Interment will follow in the cemetery of Whitakers Chapel Church. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 11, 2015 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Askew Funeral and Cremation Services.
